The Asssassins Creed series is something to get into, no doubt about it, and I love portal 1 and 2! Portal 2 even has a creation kit to create or download your own levels Sonic generations was incredible! I suggest you get that when it goes on sale. It has changed significantly since it first released and they made it enjoyable, even for someone like me who didn't like Star Wars before it. If you don't mind playing a game that isn't for steam but just on its own, you could get SWTOR which is pretty fun and about to become entirely free. You may like Skyrim, or some of the indie games like terraria or magicka. Games at those times can often go as low as 95% off! Most games are at least 60% off so when people see steam sales they start to swear because they're about to go broke. Twice a year there's the steam sales and they happen around june~july and November~December. It says I have 39 games for it but most of those are DLC's. I opened a steam account about November of last year because people kept bugging me to play on it.
